Mwingi Municipality Manager's job advertised

 Barely 15 months to next year’s general elections, Kitui County Governor Ms Charity Kaluki Ngilu has put up an advert of senior managers’ jobs in her government. 

Key among them are 12 county chief officers, one county solicitor and a number of other directors.

What has not escaped Mwingi Time’s hawk-eye view is the Mwingi Municipality Manager post which political watchers see as a consolation to the growing disquiet of the region against the current administration on matters development.

The deadline for application of all these advertised posts is May 25, 2021.  The candidates who will be shortlisted have been advised to seek clearances from the five agencies that deal with Leadership and Integrity which is anchored in Chapter 6 of the Constitution 2010. They are EACC, HELB, KRA, CRB and DCI.

On April 28 this year, six persons nominated to the Kitui County Public Service Board were approved by the County Assembly of Kitui. They are Ms Florence Makindi (Chair), Ms Winfred Tumbo, Mr Hassan Mutubwa, Mr Joseph Kyavoa, Mr Francis Kiliku and Mr David Munyao who are all members of the powerful board.

Chairperson Makindi comes from Kitui East Sub County. Ms Winfred Tumbo is from Mwingi North while Mutubwa, Kyavoa, Kiliku amd Munyao are from Kitui Central, East, Rural and South sub counties respectively.
