The weather forecast for the end of April 2024 and the first week of May 2024 is a varied one. Few areas are expected to receive heavy rains of more than 50mm on the one end while still, few areas are expected to receive light rains or no rains.
In between is a middle ground where several areas have been forecast by Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi that they will receive light to moderate rainfall of more than 30mm.
Of note is that the month of May is the cessation month for the March-April-May, [MAM] rain season.
During the next seven days, Kitui County is forecast to have a maximum temperature range of between 25°C and 35°C while the minimum temperature over the same time will range from 17°C to 23°C, a weather advisory from Kitui County meteorological office reads.
