A 70-year-old woman died on the spot when a strong wind blew off the roof her house in Mwingi. Mama Kola Kisai moved outside her house and sought refuge in the next house.
Confirming the incident, Kyuso Sub County Police Commander Nicholas Mutua said that when the wall made of dried soil bricks collapsed on her due to strong whirlwind, she died on the spot.
The elderly woman sustained serious injuries on her forehead when the strong wind blew off the house she was in.
The incident occured at Kai village , Tyaa Kamuthale sub location in Tyaa location at around 5.30pm on Friday.
The deceased's body was moved to Kyuso Sub County Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmoterm.
