KITUI County to experience dry, hot and dusty conditions -METEO

This week the county of Kitui is forecast to experience dry, hot and dusty weather conditions.

Kitui County weather forecast from February 14 to 20 2023/Kenya Meteorological Department 

The Kenya Meteorological Department said on February 14 that there was low chance of light rains over high ground areas during the forecast period.

In a report prepared by Kitui County Director of Meteorology Daniel Mbithi, the Weatherman says that high temperatures will continue being felt across the county. The maximum temperature will range from 29 to 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature will oscillate between 16 and 23 degrees Celsius.

Farmers were urged to consult their local agricultural extension officers for the best post harvest practices in the wake of relatively inadequate rains.

"Farmers are advised to consult with respective Ward Agricultural Extension Officers [WAES] from the County Ministry of Agriculture for advice about best practices on crop harvesting, drying and storage/marketing in the light of this weather forecast", said the Met Department.
