Mutua was speaking shortly after Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua was unveiled as DP Ruto’s running mate at the latter’s Karen official residence in Nairobi.

“I am very happy to be in Kenya Kwanza. Nilikuwa nazimia”, said Machakos governor.

The communications veteran said that due to being a victim of zoning by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition, his party’s views were not being considered unlike in Kenya Kwanza whom he said took into consideration the views of Maendeleo Chap Chap.

Mutua thanked Kenya Kwanza for proposing a 50:50 sharing of government between males and females saying that it will cure the menace of gender inequality where currently women are underrepresented in government affairs.

The IEBC has in the past called out political parties for flouting the two-third gender rule.

“Tusare story za kuzimia. Tujipange na Man Ruto”, concluded Dr Mutua.
