An ardent supporter of former Mwingi North MP John Munuve is
said to have lost his life while receiving treatment at Mwingi level IV
hospital, after a Probox ferrying them from Kitui High court lost control
following a tyre burst, crushing on one side of the road at Bondoni in Mwingi
West constituency yesterday. Other three are said to be recuperating in the
same hospital.
The supporters had travelled to Kitui to hear a petition in
which the former MP is challenging the election of Eng. Paul Nzengu as the new
MP for Mwingi North.

Kitui High court this week ordered recounting of votes in
105 polling stations in Mwingi North to verify whether there were
irregularities as being alleged by the former MP.
According to evidence, Munuve is said to be having a water
tight case which might lead to nullification of the election of the current MP.
