Earlier today, a section of Kitui County leaders held a meeting at a Kitui hotel fighting for the approval of the Tourism, Wildlife and National Heritage nominee Penina Malonza.
Speaking to the members of the press, they thanked President William Ruto for nominating Penina Malonza as the Tourism CS. They said Kitui residents were happy when Ms Malonza got nominated for the top position in government.
The leaders who comprised of youth and former aspirants accused Kathiani MP Robert Mbui of sabotaging one of their own. Hon Mbui is a Wiper party legislator.
The leaders termed Malonza as a performer, a good leader and a person of integrity who should not have been rejected by the Committee on Appointments of the National Assembly.
