Two suspected stock theft suspects were arrested by members of the public and taken to Mwingi Police Station after the bulls’ owner positively identified them.
Mwingi Central OCPD Mr Peter Mutuma said that Elias Musunza Muthui and Danson Kitheka stole the bulls at around 10pm yesterday. The incident happened in Mbuvu sublocation, Mwingi East Sub County.
Angry wananchi frogmarched the two stock theft suspects after they arrested them in Mwingi township trying to sell the bulls at throw away price.
“At around 1040hrs, the members of the public brought to station two suspects of stock theft after having arrested them at Mwingi Township try to sell them at throw away price”, said Mutuma.
The first suspect Elias Muthui is aged 25 years while the other Danson Kitheka is 19. This is according to a police OB seen by Mwingi Times detailing the incident.
