Mwingi accident leaves two riders with serious injuries

 Two bodaboda riders collided head on along Mwingi-Garissa Road at Jamliz Restaurant, police have confirmed. Both riders we using Skygo motorbikes.

The incident took place at around 10.20am. “While overtaking a lorry improperly, he (Kioko Muvengei) collided head on with the oncoming motorcycle …which was moving to the opposite direction towards Garissa”, reads the OB in part.

Mr Muvengei, 22 collided with Kimanzi Tabitha aged 23 years.  Police said that Kioko sustained head injuries while Tabitha suffered a fractured leg. Both were rushed to Mwingi Level Four Hospital where they are receiving treatment but in fair condition.  This is according to a Police OB seen by Mwingi Times.

Both motorcycles were towed to Mwingi Police Station awaiting inspection.
