MUTUA called out for sharing fake news about Kalonzo’s wife

Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has apologised for sharing fake news about the “death” of Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s wife Mama Pauline Musyoka.

“I wish to apologize for the earlier post about the family of H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka. This was as a result of misinformation and hoax from several players, some, seemingly credible and close to H.E. Kalonzo, who made it seem like a message to me about the family. People can be evil.

My sincere apologies for any anxiety caused,” he wrote.

Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka Command Centre Head of Communications Paloma Gatabaki urged Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) to stop what she called an "incredibly distasteful behaviour!" SKM Command Centre said the malicous rumours circulating concerning Mama Pauline Musyoka was fake news which was unfortunately being churned by spinners of hate.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula responded in shock and disbelief terming Mutua’s post as fake news and declaring he owes the country an apology.

“Am in a meeting with Steve Kalonzo and Cyrus Jirongo at Steve’s residence. Mama Pauline is alive, safe and sound. This is fake news at its highest crudity.”, said Weta.
