Mr John Kutima Matseshe told a court that Mr Sudi’s diploma certificate was not a genuine certificate. He was the head of examinations at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).

The court was told that the Kapseret MP was never enrolled as a student in the business institute.

Mr Matseshe said that the certificate registered number 36262 that the MP presented was issued to one Elkananh K. Kimutai of admission number NRB/20870. He graduated with a Diploma certificate in Purchasing and Supplies Management on September 24, 2009.

Sudi’s problems started escalating on Wednesday when the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Principal Examinations Secretary Nabiki Ene Kashe told magistrate Felix Kombo that Sudi never registered or sat for 2006 KCSE at Highways Secondary School in Nairobi.

The KNEC senior manager said that Sudi’s 2006 KNEC certificate was forged. “We also established that a candidate by the name Oscar Sudi did not appear in the year 2006 KNEC database for either Highway or Parklands Secondary School,” she testified.

Sudi was charged with forging the Diploma Certificate in Business Management claiming he earned it from the Kenya Institute of Management.

The matter was adjourned to November 17, 2021 after the prosecution led by Mr Joseph Riungu called 10 witnesses to the case.
