Two of the trio are formidable legal minds with a wealth of experience in their earlier portfolios. They are Mr Kibwana and Ms Karua.  Dr Kituyi was a trade minister during Kibaki administration and the same work was expanded in the UN where he was supervising global trade.

The trio held a consultative meeting at a time where regional political kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka joined Okoa Kenya Alliance (OKA) as a third force to stop Deputy President Dr William Ruto from ascending to presidency.

Dr Kituyi later opened the Makueni PWD Centre in Wote which is aimed at boosting the entrepreneurial skills of persons living with disability as well as their ability to get jobs.

On her part, Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua launched an oxygen plant that will produce enough oxygen for all Makueni County hospitals. It is able to produce 288 cubic meters of oxygen.

During this time of Covid-19 disease, oxygen is required in treating critically ill patients. Some counties  have reported Covid deaths due to lack of oxygen.

All the political leaders present witnessed the commissioning of the facilities in the model county which failed to hold an annual governors conference over Covid-19 regulations. It was supposed to be held at Makueni Boys High School.

This was after a last-minute exit of NASA coalition partners who left the party as a shell of its former strong formation.

Other notable OKA leaders are Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula, Amani National Congress’s Musalia Mudavadi and the independent party’s Gideon Moi who leads Kenya African National union (KANU).
