A girl from Kanginga Oasis
Academy at Mwingi has emerged number one in Kitui County KCPE examination with 432
marks, driven by an aim of becoming a neurosurgeon one day .
Millicent Wanza, a 14 years old
daughter of a single mother from Katelembu in Machakos town is the best student
with; 92 marks in English, 95 in Kiswahili, 85 in maths, 82 in social studies,
and 78 in science.

Wanza said that
its hard work and the fear of God that has made her to emerge victorious, which gave her hope of achieving her long time dream of becoming a doctor one day.
Unlike some doctors in Kenya whose main aim is greed for wealth, Millicent's ambitions of becoming a doctor is led by passion.
She wants to become a doctor so that she may help the sick and the needy in the society in future.
“I thank God for
having brought me this far. I’ve been working hard day and night in order to
one day join my favourite school which is Alliance Girls High school and later
become a doctor which has been my passion since I was born,” Said Wanza filled
with joy.
Her mother Esther
Mwende thanked the school administration for doing their best to ensure that
the level of education in the school goes high and for supporting her daughter
to realize her best potential.
“My girl has
really done me proud today; the school administration has been so good in
supporting her. Thanks a lot for doing your best,” said Esther Mwende.
The school which
managed a mean score of 354 marks this year, also had four other pupils getting
400 marks and above.
Precious Moments
Academy from Nguni in Mwingi East Sub County is the school which managed to
produce many students with above 400 marks in the whole of Mwingi, with 12
pupils having passed the mark.

The top student
in the school was Edina Mwende who got 424 marks.
Mwende said that
she put maximum efforts in school so as to get a chance at Kenya High School to
enable her become a pilot one day.
“I was aiming at
getting 410 marks, and its better now I managed to get 424 which will enable me
to join Kenya High which is my school of choice, when I grow up I want to be a
pilot.” Said Mwende

Mumo, the top pupil at Muthaiga Academy in Mwingi who acquired 424 Marks

Kelvin Mumo, a
boy from Muthaiga Academy managed to get 424 marks as well, with three other
pupils acquiring more than 400 marks.
“I want to join
Moi Forces Academy now that I’ve got goon marks, in future I want become a
software engineer,” Said Kelvin Mumo.
