Candidates will be expected to seek clearances from various statutory bodies and other entities. They include KRA, EACC, DCI, HELB and CRB.

However, job seekers will no longer be required to produce the clearance certificates unless the job offer is guaranteed if a bill in the National Assembly becomes law.

National Assembly nominated Member of Parliament Charles Keter sponsored a bill recommending abolishing of the clearance requirements for job seekers, majority who are young people.

The amendment Bill is at the Second Reading of law making.

According to the parliamentary budget office, the bodies which clear job seekers collect more that Sh750 Million every year.
