These are our priorities, Mumoni residents tell leaders

Public participation exercises carried out in Kitui County are meant to  underscore inclusive  public service delivery, Mumoni residents were told. Kitui CECM for Water and Irrigation Peter Nkunda said Governor Dr Julius Malombe's administration was keen to implement sustainable development across all wards in line with his 16-sector agenda.

CECM Nkunda was speaking at Katse Vocational Training Centre in Mumoni Ward during a public participation exercise on Community Level Infrastructure Development Program (CLIDP), propoor fees support program and Sand Dams initiative for the 2023/24 financial year.

The CECM urged residents to take advantage of the public participation forms so that they give their development priorities and preferences.

"These public participations are happenings in all the 40 wards of Kitui County and besides being a civic process provided for in the constitution, they offer wananchi an invaluable opportunity to make their development priorities and preferences known", he noted.

Area MCA Titus Kasinga vowed to  his electorate will get high quality services when contractors get jobs. He warned them to work within the Bill of Quantities (BQ)or standards given by the technical team in all projects designed for wananchi.
