Kitui County is likely to experience light rains in the week starting September 12, the Kenya Meteorological Department forecast shows.
According to the advisory we have obtained from Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi, the light rains were forecast to occur during the early days of the forecast period over several places. The weatherman adds that after the light rains, the weather will break into dry and partly cloudy conditions.
The maximum temperature forecast for this week will range from 27°C to 37°C while the minimum temperatures are expected to lie between 15°C to 24°C.
Mr Mbithi warned residents that there may be strong south easterly winds of over 25 knots [12 m/s] likely to occur.
