The Kenya Meteorological Department forecast for the week starting from September 26 shows that Kitui County will experience light showers over a few places. The afternoons will be marked by dry and partly cloudy conditions.
Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi told MWINGI TIMES that the maximum temperature forecast during the week will range from 28°C to 36°C while the minimum temperature will oscillate between 16°C and 24°C.
There is also a likelihood of strong southeasterly winds measuring 25 knots or 12m/s to blow.
Residents have been urged to seek best farm practices advice from the ward agricultural extension officers in order to derive maximum benefit as they prepare for October -December rainy season.
