President Ruto delighted as he visits Kitui County exhibition booth in Eldoret

Shortly after Kitui County under Malombe was declared the best performing county in development ahead of the devolution conference on Wednesday, President William Ruto lauded Kitui County for being exemplary. The president toured the Kitui County exhibition booth at the Eldoret Sports Club on Wednesday and was mesmerized by the high quality of products on display.

Ruto  expressed delight during his tour of Kitui exhibition kiosk by Malombe. He viewed minerals and mineral products, value added farm products, honey and innovative technologies and expressed delight.

The president hailed Kitui County for the numerous devolution milestones it had attained and for trailblazing in a number of sectors. Later, the Head of State proceeded to officially opening of the 8th devolution conference at the Eldoret Sports Club in Uasin Gishu County.

On Monday, Kitui County was ranked the best County in development followed by Kirinyanga which is under the leadership of Council of Governor chairperson, Anne Waiguru. 

Since Dr Malombe took over the leadership of Kitui County following his re-election on August 9 last year,  many development works have been undertaken across the county. Over the next few months, major infrastructure projects have been implemented in health, road network, education and water sectors.
