Speaking in Kitui town, MCA for Mutonguni Ward (Independent) Benjamin Ndambu Mulandi condemned the Inspector General Japhet Koome for saying that Azimio One Kenya Alliance had hired bodies from morgues to paint the image of Kenya Kwanza government in bad light.
"The police were used to assault and kill demonstrators who were protesting against the high cost of living in the country", said the ward representative. He went on to term Mr Koome's statements as a misguided information.
MCA Mulandi regretted that police beat and allegedly snuffed life from protesters in Nairobi, Makueni, Machakos and Kisumu counties which are predominantly opposition strongholds.
"We saw bodies of those killed by police in Kisumu. It is true that people were killed", said Mutonguni MCA.
Wiper party leader Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is leading the opposition in negotiating with government to among other things ease the cost of living for Kenyans and reform the IEBC.
