The legislator on Saturday said that would happen through his Constituency Development Fund. He added that the school's renovation will be in memory of a fallen teacher at the school Winfred Dorcas who served with utmost dedication.
The fifty-eight year-old Ms. Winfred Dorcas who succumbed to Gastrointestinal cancer on August 1, 2023 was still actively serving as a senior teacher at Katakani Primary School by the time she passed away.
Speaking at the tutor's burial at Katakani village, MP Nzengu said in recognition of her service as a teacher and memory, he will embark on the school rejuvenation project. Nzengu said he had a personal relationship with the late Dorcas being his close cousin and also a close friend.
He disclosed he variously consulted Dorcas at personal level on various matters. "I want Dorcas to be remembered for many generations to come for her dedicated service. That is why the renovated facility will not be branded with Paul Nzengu wing but Winfred Dorcas," said the MP.
