In a video broadcast by both NTV and Citizen TV, the UDA legislator is heard politicising the matter by twice referring to the staffers as "watu ya ODM". He goes ahead to slap a staffer by the neck and dragging him as the others watch in disbelief.
According to the conversation seen by MWINGI TIMES, the MP accused Kenya Power staff of removing his posts and cables connecting his Kajiado home to electricity. This, he said, denied his family and those of his neighbors the right to be served.
This was after they disconnected his home and carted away the posts and cables to their lorry on site.
"You should not remove my posts. You are going home. You have to go home. I will not leave you. The Chairman of the Energy Committee is on the way", he said.
The MP wondered how an ordinary Kenyan suffers in the hands of Kenya Power staffers in the field as they seek to be connected to the electricity for home and industrial use.
The MP said that the Energy Committee in National Assembly will take up the matter.
