Unconfirmed reports are that Wiper leader and Azimio One Kenya Alliance principal Kalonzo Musyoka is under house arrest.
Opposition leaders in parliament have claimed that Mr Musyoka was under house arrest. Led by Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, the leaders said his freedom of movement was curtailed. They called for unconditional release of all Azimio supporters arrested by police from around the country.
They were addressing the media outside Kalonzo's Karen residence in Nairobi.
"We hope that whoever is responsible will desist from this and allow him to enjoy his liberty and freedom of movement going forward ", claimed Minority Leader Wandayi.
Kalonzo's communication officer Ms Paloma Gatabaki took to Twitter saying that the Wiper leader has been under house arrest since Tuesday.
"Yes. It is true that H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka has been under house arrest since Tuesday evening. The Subarus and Land Rovers have been stationed outside his Karen residence preventing him from leaving ", she wrote on Twitter. The former Vice President retweeted the statement.
