Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi has said there will be a low chance of early morning drizzle in the week running from July 4 to 10 over high ground areas.
The Kenya Meteorological Department forecast that Kitui County is "expected to experience generally cold nights and chilly mornings with a low chance of early morning drizzle over highland areas".
The maximum temperature during the forecast period is expected to range from 22°C to 35°C while the minimum temperature will be from 13°C to 24°C.
The month of July is expected to be the peak month for the JJA cold season.
