Fire broke out in Mutongoi Vocational Training Institute in Kitui West this morning destroying property of unknown value. The fire emanated from a dormitory within the institution.
A Nyumba Kumi older by the name Ngumbi Nzilu told MWINGI TIMES that residents and students or the college helped extinguish the raging flames. The cause of the fire was not established by press time.
Police are investigating the incident. No one was injured in the incident. Around two classrooms were damaged as a result of fire, said an eye witness.
