The Weatherman has said that rainfall is likely to continue over most parts of Kitui County. "Heavy rainfall is expected over some parts of the County", said Kitui County Director of Meteorological Services Mr Daniel Mbithi.
Mbithi warned residents who live in poorly drained and low lying areas to watch out for floods as their villages may be submerged due to the heavy downpour.
The maximum temperature forecast by KMD for this week (April 25- May 1) is 25°C to 32°C while the minimum temperature will range from 17°C to 22°C.
With April being expected to be the peak month of the March-April-May long rains season, the Weatherman has reminded farmers to keep consulting the Ward Agricultural Extension Officers ,WAES, for advice on best farming practices.
