There will be general reduction in rainfall for the week of April 18 to 24. The Kenya Meteorological Department notes that "the County is expected to experience a general reduction in wet conditions ranging from light to moderate rains during the forecast period over several places".
The maximum temperature in Kitui County in the next one week is expected to range from 25-33°C while the minimum temperature will oscillate between
17°C and 22°C.
Kenyans are advised that the month of April 2023 is the peak month for the March-April-May (MAM) "Long Rains" season. They are therefore urged to work closely with their local Ward Agricultural Extension Officers (WAES) for advice on the best farm practices in the light of this weather forecast.
