Unite in service delivery to residents, Senator Wambua tells Kitui Gov't

Kitui County Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua told both the Executive and Assembly arms of his County to work together for the benefit of wananchi.

In his address to the county assembly,  Senator Wambua called upon leaders to put aside their differences in order to deliver on the much needed services and development projects they promised residents during the campaign trail.

"I call upon the Executive and the Assembly of the County Government of Kitui to find reason in the suffering of our people to work together to deliver the much-needed projects to the electorate", he said.

As Senator Wambua delivered his official address to the Third County Assembly pursuant to the provisions of the County Assembly Standing Order No.21 (1), he was accompanied by his colleagues Sen Justice (Rtd) Stewart Madzayo who is the Senate Minority Leader. Others present were his Makueni counterpart Daniel Maanzo, Eddy Oketch (Migori), Beth Syengo (Nominated, ODM), Esther Okenyuri (Nominated, UDA) and Tabitha Mutinda (Nominated, UDA).

In order to solve the drought situation, Senator Wambua urged MCAs to pass laws in support of irrigation agriculture since the rain fed agriculture was failing due to perennial drought.

The country has already gone for five consecutive seasons without adequate rains depleting water and food security infrastructure.

Residents of Kitui County have high hopes in the current legislature which spot new faces especially the youth given they did an overhaul of sending home a bit number of past MCAs on several grounds including non-performance.
