Unlike last week where every Ward in Kitui County had forecast rains, this week appears to have reduced downpour according to the latest weekly weather forecast by the Kenya Meteorological Department.
The Weatherman said that Kitui South region will receive the highest amount of rains ranging from 20mm to 70mm.
Other regions in the Dr Malombe-led county are likely to get light rains.
You will recall that in the past one month, Kitui South has received little rains. This week's Weather forecast is good news to them since they are yet to recover fully from camel herders invasions which resulted in damage of property and sometimes loss of lives.
Kitui County Director of Meteorology Mr Daniel Mbithi has urged farmers to continue weeding their crops for maximum yields as well as harvesting rain water for domestic use.
