Mwingi North and Kitui Central Sub Counties likely to receive heavy rainfall-Weatherman

A new weather forecast by the Kenya Meteorological Department points to increased chance of light to moderate rains not exceeding 40mm over several areas in Kitui County from November 8 to 14.

Kitui County Director of Meteorology Mr Daniel Mbithi said Mwingi North and Kitui Central Sub Counties are likely to receive heavy rains during the forecast period.

Mumoni Ward and few places in Tharaka, Kyuso, Tseikuru and Kitui Central Wards are likely to receive heavy rainfall.”, said the Weatherman.

The maximum temperatures forecast in the next one week are expected to range between 23 and 31 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperatures are expected to range from 17 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Farmers were advised to consult the nearest agricultural extension officers for appropriate agricultural advisories.
