Meru County has its First Gentleman Hon. Murega Baichu, husband to the First Female Meru County Governor HE. Kawira Mwangaza.
Since Hon Murega assumed the position of First Gentleman of Meru County, Meru has not known peace.
Women have been accused of jealousy towards each other, a perception that is not true.
Lately, I have come to learn that the male gender is the worse in jealousy as compared to women as they will tear and shred each other with envy.
What is unfolding in Meru County is a classic example of men's jealousy playing out in the open to the extent of sabotaging a legitimate Government of Meru County under HE Kawira Mwangaza, wife to Hon Murega Baichu.
Which begs the question, why are Meru men envious of Meru's First Gentleman? Do men hate each other this much?
Hon Murega worked hard to support his wife to become Meru Governor. He is a good example of a good home maker. Men, this goes to show how you should support your wives to get into seats of power. Murega should be given some quiet time to enjoy the fruits of his hard labour.
Meru County has been in the media for all the wrong reasons.
It's time that the Meru community acknowledged that their Governor is HE Kawira Mwangaza, so that we can move forward.
