While expressing his support to the fifth president of Kenya, Amb. Kilonzo urged the Opposition to give the government ample time to deliver on its promises.

Kilonzo’s press release seen by MWINGI TIMES reads in part, “I would like to urge the opposition led by Hon Kalonzo to give the current administration humble time to implement their manifesto that they promised to Kenyans without dragging the government into sideshows”.

This, he said, will improve the lives of millions of Kenyans that are languishing in poverty.

Kilonzo said that Ruto’s cabinet reflects the face of Kenya. He thanked him for appointing two cabinet secretaries from Ukambani region as well as a security advisor.

Former Machakos governor Alfred Mutua was nominated the Foreign Affairs and Diaspora cabinet secretary. Hon Peninah Malonza will be the Tourism and Wildlife CS if her name sails through National Assembly vetting stage.

Former Foreign Affairs CS in Uhuru cabinet Ambassador Monica Juma was named an advisor to the national security council.

The Wiper leader said some of CS nominees had integrity issues. He directed Azimio-OKA coalition lawmakers to scrutinize them thoroughly during vetting.

“Some cabinet nominees have serious criminal cases. If I was Ruto, I would withdraw their nomination. We shall direct our MPs to hold approval of those who fall short of chapter six of the Constitution”, said Kalonzo.
