Kitui County Assembly Speaker elections are underway.

Kevin Katisya has taken an early lead during the first round of voting. He has gotten 25 votes followed by George Ndotto with 9 votes.
Others in the Kitui County Assembly Speaker race are Benjamin Mwikya Musyoka who garnered 8 votes, one shy of former Speaker George Ndotto who has led the assembly since 2013.
Andrew Ndisya Lisa and Victor Kyalo Mutua did not get a single vote. August Kyalo Muli got 7 votes. Former Tseikuru MCA Boniface Kilaa Kasina got 6 votes.
