Young lawyer joins Raila’s presidential petition team

A young lawyer from Tseikuru Ward, Mwingi North has been named as part of Raila Odinga’s presidential petition legal team.

Confirming the nomination, Kevin Kinengo Katisya, an Advocate of the High Court said, “I am honoured and privileged to be part of the Azimio Legal Team. May the spirit of democracy and rule of law prevail in Kenya”.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga also named five Senior Counsels who will battle it out in court with President-elect William Ruto’s team.  The lead counsels are James Orengo, Pheroze Nowrojee, Philip Murgor and Okongo Omogoni.

Law scholar Prof Makau Mutua is a consultant to the team. He is also the spokesperson of Raila Odinga Presidential Campaign Secretariat.

The press statement signed by Prof Mutua expressed confidence that “justice will prevail”. We are pleased that our Presidential Election petition has buoyed the spirit of Kenyans that justice will prevail, and that they did not cast their ballots for Azimio in vain.
