“We associate with the leadership that Prof Kibwana has manifested in agreeing to work with us in furthering our country’s development agenda”, said Dr Ruto.

The President-Elect went on to disclose that Prof Kibwana will join the Kenya Kwanza legal team in the ongoing presidential election petition.

The Makueni Governor vied for senator seat and lost to Wiper’s Dan Maanzo. Maanzo is part of the Azimio lawyers in former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s legal minds. Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior is the Governor- Elect.

Already, both Ruto and Raila have top lawyers set to represent them in court. Former Tharaka Nithi Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki, Katwa Kigen and Muthomi Thiankolu form the President-Elect’s top three.

As for Raila, he will be relying on Siaya Governor-Elect James Orengo, Philip Murgor and Pheroze Nowrojee to argue his case in court.  This is his fifth presidential bid.
