Wambua stormed incumbent CNN's backyard of Kiomo/ Kyethani ward where he pitched tent in Mukuthu and Kakongo markets in Kiomo and Kairungu locations respectively.

The former vocal Ward Rep faulted CNN's administration over what he termed as unfair and unequal distribution of resources especially NG-CDF funded projects and issuance of bursaries.

"CNN has failed. Projects have not been allocated fairly. Bursaries have been allocated to undeserving people at the expense of children from poor and vulnerable backgrounds," he said while pledging to “correct the mess” of the current leadership once elected next month.

Wambua distinguished himself as a fierce defender of the people saying he'll fight for more resources from the national government to benefit his constituents.

"What resources has your MP brought to you? How many youths has he helped get employed for example in the disciplined forces from this area?" Wambua posed.

He said he will among other things further youth and women empowerment through employment of youth in various sectors as well as ensuring empowerment funds and contracts for women.

Wambua underscored that he will embrace public participation in undertaking of NG -CDF projects. He wooed the more 800 in voter-rich Kakongo market to vote for him instead of their "son" CNN whom he said didn't deliver on his mandate.
