Outgoing governor of Kitui County Ms Charity Ngilu has committed to back Senator David Musila as the third governor of Kitui County.
Speaking in Kivou Ward, Mwingi Central, the governor said that Senator Musila was the best suited to be the next county chief.
"I know very well that I am going to support Senator David Musila as the next governor. Nitasupport Musila kwa hali na mali", said governor Ngilu.
Her statement was received with applause by mourners who had attended the burial of the late Oliver Muinde Mutukaa who died in a road accident.
He was the son to Hon Muinde Mutukaa who is vying for Kitui Senator seat.
Ngilu dismissed Malombe second governor bid as inconsequential terming it as unrealistic as he was a distant third with senator David Musila emerging the second in 2017 governor polls.
