A fourteen sitter Matatu burst into flames after it collided head on with a personal car along Thika - Matuu Highway at Kwa Majini bridge at Sofia.
The explosion was caused by a gas cylinder which was in the matatu.
6 passengers were burned to death while other survivors who had burns and injuries were rushed to Matuu Level IV Hospital for treatment.
