Police arrest a man alleged to sell stolen goat in Tseikuru

A 20-year-old man from Mulangoni village in Tseikuru sub county was arrested today by Nyumba Kumi officials and wananchi over allegations of stealing a young goat.

The man was held by residents till police officers came to pick him up.

Also present during the arrest was Mr Joel Musila who is Kalimbui sub location assistant chief.

Eye witnesses told Mwingi Times the man was handcuffed and thrown inside a police van as investigations kicked off.

Sources said the man was carrying bhang in his pockets since he resisted being searched. We could not independently verify this by the time we went to press.

Villagers doubted if the man was the owner of the kid since he was selling it at a throw away price of KSh1,500.
