The Wiper party has attracted three gubernatorial aspirants who are seeking to contest for the seat via the Kalonzo Musyoka-led party.
“Two more gubernatorial candidates Dan Mwanzo and George Mwandembo have joined Wiper and so we are now three. Competition is good”, wrote Ms Patience Nyange on her Facebook page.
Having formally joined Wiper at the party headquarters in Nairobi, Patience Nyange revealed that more than 35 political aspirants from her coastal county will contest for various elective seats in August via the Kalonzo-led party.
She is optimistic that she will emerge the final party flag bearer under Wiper Party.
She thanked her MP Danson Mwashako Mwakuwona and deputy governor Majala Mlagui Shambi for their support as she ventures into politics.
Patience is a council member of Media Council of Kenya and a veteran journalist.
The current governor Granton Samboja was elected on Wiper party ticket but defected to ODM. He will be seeking reelection using ODM ticket.
