Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka supported Senegal while Kanu party leader Gideon Moi vouched for Egypt.

The two took to their Facebook pages to celebrate their teams ahead and during the matches.

“Gideon K Moi watch how Sadio Mane is going to part the waters of Red Sea and leave Egyptians behind. Weka Jogo  yangu tayar!”, shot Musyoka.

In return, Moi said that by the time the game will be over, Salah will be walking on waters of Red Sea, and not even Mane will be able to stop him.

He dismissed Kalonzo’s prediction as unlikely, chiding him that he be told the truth ama tunyamaze?

“Soma lebo”, said GM donning a red tshirt similar to his party colour.

Kenya’s Harambee Stars did not qualify for the Afcon.

By end of extra time, the score line was 0-0. Senegal defeated Egypt by scoring 4-2 in a penalty shoot out. This was Senegal's first ever trophy of Africa Cup of Nations.

After the finals ended, Moi congratulated The Lions of Teranga for emerging the winners of AFCON. "Sisi kama supporters wa The Pharaohs hata hatujaskia vibaya", said Baringo senator. He added that Kalonzo can go for his prize.

While celebrating the win, Kalonzo said that the win was deserved. He compared Senegal's football great Sadio Mane to #BuffaloSoldier.

" Leta kuku yangu @GideonMoi",  posted on his official Facebook page.
