MWINGI teacher commits suicide

 Police officers from Mwingi are now investigating a matter in which a primary school head teacher committed suicide for unknown reasons.

Jacob Muimi Nguli, a Wikithuki Primary School senior teacher locally known for his tireless efforts of nurturing young talents in sports was yesterday found dead in his house.

Police and workmate sources said that Mr Jacob had committed suicide because of pressure emanating from his family issues.

Mwingi KNUT Executive Secretary Mbutu Munyasya said mwalimu Jacob had some rosy relationship with his wife for some time.

Mwalimu Jacob has been pivotal in nurturing youth talent in both football and games for a very long time making him an household name among the youths and sports lovers.

The teacher is survived by a wife and three children; two boys and a girl.

According to a source who requested anonymity, the wife allegedly incited the children against their dad.

The source also told us that she had accused him of infidelity.

We could not reach his wife for a rebuttal by press time.

Most colleagues have eulogised mwalimu Julius Muimi Nguli as a great sportsman.
