According to an OB report seen by Mwingi Times, the girl hanged herself using a waist belt. Police said she did not leave behind a suicide note.

“… it was established that the deceased had committed suicide by hanging herself on the truss by using a waist belt. No suicide note was discovered”, reads the OB report referenced as SUICIDE INCIDENT REPORT 19/12/2021.

Further, the Police OB reveals that the underage girl was being waited by her aunt Mawia Nguu to go for counselling over family differences.

The aunt wanted to escort the girl to her grandfather’s home at Myange village for counselling “following misunderstanding by the family members” but that never materialized because she was discovered having killed herself.

The girl’s body was taken to Mwingi Level Four Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
