Members of Parliament from the three counties that make up Ukambani region dominated the East African Legislative Assemblies competitions held in Arusha, Tanzania.
On December 13, Kenyan MPs Charles Ngusya Nguna (CNN) of Mwingi West, Victor Musyoka Musau of Machakos Town, Nixon Korir (Lang’ata) and Dan Wanyama representing Webuye West constituency won gold medal in a 4x100m. They also bagged similar win for 4x400m race.
Their win cemented Kenya’s prowess in athletics. Kenya is well known in international competitions to amass victories which bring pride to the East African economic hub.
On December 11, Mwala MP Eng Vincent Musyoka Musau aka Kawaya won both 200m and 100m race in Eala games. On the same day, his Mwingi West counterpart CNN won 400m race.
