My father is visibly shaken and we suspect he was threatened against speaking about his unlawful detention,”, his son Elmiqdad Hassan told the media.

He went missing ten days ago. He was dumped at Mwingi town at 1am today, his family says. He then went to his relative’s home in Mwingi area.

The High Court had ordered police to locate the lawyer. National Police Service denied knowledge of the legal professor’s whereabouts.

Further, the NPS revealed that it was investigating the lawyer’s whereabouts in order to nab his captors.

He disappeared after an evening prayer at Jamia Mosque.

Nandwa’s family said that the police raided his Nairobi home looking for his client Elgiva Bwire Oliacha.

Bwire is a self-confessed member of al-Shabaab terrorist group that was linked to Kaka bus attack along Race Course Road in Nairobi on October 24, 2011.

After an appeal to his life sentence, Bwire’s jail term was reduced to 10 years in prison.

Elgiva Bwire Oliacha’s whereabouts remain unknown.

The Law Society of Kenya blamed police for disappearance of the lawyer and his client saying the disappearance of the two was intertwined.
