ATHIANI FM built me, presenter says as he quits station “with memories”

 Athiani FM presenter Tonnie Mwendwa has left the station after serving for 10 years.

Mwendwa was the host of Ithembe Sya Kwaya show among other roles. He said goodbye to his fans marking closure of his radio stint at Athiani FM.

“After 10 years, tonight is my last show on Athiani FM. I have enjoyed the ups, the downs and the in-betweens.

As I leave, I won’t take nothing but the house (Athiani FM) that built me.

I also take with me your love and patience”, said Mr Mwendwa on November 21, 2021.

A source who preferred not to be named said Tonnie was headed to Musyi FM, another leading Kamba radio station owned by Royal Media Services.
