THE Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has nominated Mr Godfrey Muthengi Ndagara as her Chief Officer for ICT and Media relations. Mr Ndagara comes from Mwingi North Sub County.
He is part of ten chief officers nominated to fill various senior positions in the county. Ndagara is a journalist and a musician. Some of his hits are Mwari, Kathambi and Pamela.
In a communique dated October 19 seen by Mwingi Times and addressed to the MCAs, Speaker George Ndotto commits the list of the nominees to the relevant sectoral committees for consideration.
Most of the Chief Officer nominees come from Kitui Central subcounty. The governor comes from that region. They form 30 per cent of her nominees as chief officers.
Mwingi North has two.
Only two of the ten chief officer nominees are females. The rest are males. The females are Fatma Kasyoka Said from Kitui Central sub county and Everlyne Kasyoka Musembi from Kitui West. Musembi was nominated for Environment and Natural Resources docket.
Said, if vetted and approved,
will be chief officer for Housing.
