Athi River man to stand trial over wife’s murder

 A 28-year-old man believed to have killed his wife surrendered himself to Athi River police station today.

Andrew Mutiso Musau disappeared on Thursday, October 21 and a manhunt was launched yesterday to establish his whereabouts after his wife’s dead body was found in their house by Nyumba Kumi officials. 

The wife had disappeared two days before her dead body was discovered by police.

It is the couple’s neighbours who alerted the police about the incident.

Detectives from Kitengela police station arrived at the scene of crime and processed it before transporting the body to a nearby mortuary awaiting post-mortem to establish the real cause of the wife’s death.

Police are investigating the alleged murder. Mr Musau and will be taken to court tomorrow where he will be charged with murder.
