Speaking at his rural home in Kanyuambora in Mbeere North, Embu Ccounty when he met religious leaders from Pentecostal churches from Embu County, Muturi said he is confident that he will clinch the top seat.

Speaker Muturi said that his mission is to restore the lost glory of the country and its pride.

"We must restore order and dignity in our country and this cannot be achieved when one is not number one.

We must have a country that is ruled by discipline and order and I am the only person who can do that if you place me to be number one.

What this country needs is order and to revisit the national values and ethos that the builders of this nation envisaged. Indeed, these values we espouse and which are enshrined in our Constitution are biblical. This is what inspires my desire to see change in this country", he explained.

Muturi urged priests to pray for him so that he can achieve his dreams of being the next president of Kenya.

Church leaders who attended the occasion declared their support for Muturi to run for presidency.

Bishop Cyrus Muriuki said that everybody in Mt Kenya region should support Muturi because his track record is clean and his work is exemplary performed in the offices he has held before.

He urged him to traverse different regions of the country so that he can mobilize many to back his presidential bid.

"Mr Speaker Sir as a church in Embu we are behind you so that you can carry the mandate and our flag nationally. You have what it takes to be president of this great country, “said the bishop.

He also urged men of cloth not to be used as political brokers because that might jeopardize unity of this country.

Bishop Gerald Nthiga observed that speaker Muturi was a game changer who had been sent by holy spirit to propel the country to the next level.

Nthiga urged leaders from the Mt Kenya Central to back Muturi because since independence the small community which Muturi comes from in Mbeere has been supporting previous presidential candidates without questioning.

Support

"No one should bring the argument of small and big communities. Let us support Muturi because he has all what it takes to be a president.

Speaker Muturi was coronated about two months ago and his coronation has had resistance from section of leaders in Mt Kenya Region who say they don't recognize him as Mt Kenya Spokesman.

Muturi who is close confidant of president Uhuru Kenyatta has sent many politicians in the Mountain in panic with many confused whether his coronation might have had president Uhuru Kenyatta blessings.

The three governors from Mt Kenya East have already declared support for his coronation as Mt Kenya Sspokesman.

The governors are Martin Wambora (Embu) ,Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi) , Kiraitu Murungi (Meru).

Others from the other side of the Mt Kenya region have shown resistance in subscribing to Muturi's coronation as Mt Kenya spokesman.
