Raila gate-crashed Uhuru tour in Ukambani, Mwingi MP says

Mwingi North MP Eng. Paul Nzengu has called upon opposition leaders and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to keep off the Ukambani region until when invited by Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. The MP accused Mr. Odinga of gate crashing on presidential visit to Ukambani region, hence undermining any successful talks with the president.

Speaking while handing over to the community a brand-new school bus for Kamuwongo Secondary School which would also aid transport in other nearby schools, Eng Nzengu said that the Kamba leaders kept off from President Uhuru’s tour to Kisumu, hence it would be good if Mr. Odinga keeps off Ukambani affairs and allow local leaders chart their way forward without interference.

“Mr. Odinga was out of order to gate crash our event without invitation. He should respect our leaders and our people. Presidential tour to Ukambani involved only our region and her people, the opposition leaders featured nowhere,” explained Mr. Nzengu.

Hold talks

The legislator said that normally, the opposition leader should hold talks with the Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was Mr. Odinga’s running mate in 2017 and 2013 general elections Musyoka and would tell his people the right direction to follow “when the right time comes”.

“I urge Mr. Odinga to engage the Wiper party in case he is seeking a coalition with us and our party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka would summon the region to support their coalition if successful,” added the MP.

On the One Kenya Alliance (OKA), the legislator told the four partners; Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, KANU Chairman Gideon Moi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula to unite for a purpose of winning the 2022 general election, or else they would politically perish together.

“Towards 2022, uniting is not an option, the One Kenya Alliance leaders must unite for a common course or get crushed together by the building political waves,” he advised.

He however pointed out that they should choose Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as their flag bearer, since he is their elder brother.
