During his tour, Muvisi, as he is commonly known by his followers visited Tseikuru Technical Training Institute and Wikithuki Irrigation Scheme in Usueni village of Tseikuru Ward. He also toured Kibwezi-Mutomo-Kitui road as well as Konza and Thwake Multipurpose Dam.

Netizens took to Facebook to welcome the presidential visit with some criticising the timing.

John Njoroge asked how far is the Kamuw’ongo-Tseikuru road. “How is the road to this Technical so far? It has been in a pathetic state for long considering it is the road to your rural home”, he observed.

A source we will only call Nzioki remarked that he wanted to visit Kalonzo yesterday when “I saw you landing but I was barred from doing so”.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected in Ukambani tomorrow to inspect the progress of various development projects and launch others especially those centred on water, roads and farming.

Due to political gatherings being super- spreaders of Covid-19, the presidential visit by the Head of State is expected to have fewer gatherings and scaled down activities as communicated earlier by State House spokeswoman Kanze Dena Mararo.
